Every story has a beginning. This particular one started on a sunny September morning in Krefeld, exactly a year ago. Phrases like social distancing, medical masks and R0 were not used by many on those days.
Gina, the bride prepared with her maids at home. I snapped some moments at the preparation and headed to the church. Martin, the groom welcomed the guests there already, and waited for his bride.
But she was nowhere.
He was on the edge, stared at the streets, nervously waiting for her car to come. After a good fifteen minutes she arrived, and I heard a big sigh of relief. Martin cracked a huge smile, and from that moment he kept smiling happily for the whole wedding.
There was something magical in the lights on that autumn Saturday. It shined through their perfect day.
