I know Aleks and Klaas back from 2013 when we first met in Dortmund. Since then, I shoot their elopement in Norderney. Don’t forget to check it if you missed.
Their free wedding with friends and family was last September. It was a beautiful late summer Saturday, with warm lights and excellent weather. I arrived there early morning to shoot their preparations.
Klaas got ready at their apartment, together with his brothers, while Aleks went to her bridmaid, Vanessa to prepare. All felt like being amongst friends, these two are so open and kind it is difficult to describe.
Klaas’s brothers and Aleks’s father came over by an impressive oldtimer to take Aleks to the ceremony. The ceremony was held by Klaas’s father, Peter. His speach was emotional, and funny, and his words touched everyone.
It was a humbling experience to participate in such a beautiful family event. The weather was kind for us for the whole day, and the young couple celebrated their love at the Seepavillon in the Schürmanns Park, Dortmund.
